Atlas Insurance Management Hires Senior VP to head US Operations
GEORGE TOWN, GRAND CAYMAN
Atlas Insurance Management, a leading independent insurance management and consulting company, today announced the appointment of Paul V. Halter as Senior Vice President of the firm’s U.S. Operations and the opening of an office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

said, “Paul’s appointment is the logical sequel to us managing captives in the US, and our approach of looking at US domiciles for future growth. Paul’s experience makes him the right person to help us expand our US base and I anticipate more hiring’s shortly.” Paul entered the insurance industry in 1981 and has held significant leadership roles in management, sales and marketing, operations and underwriting. Paul previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Guarantee Insurance Company, a workers’ compensation insurer that utilizes captives extensively. He has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Commerce Casualty Group, Inc., an insurance holding company he co-founded. In prior years Mr. Halter formed and operated his own independent insurance agency, and held various positions at Crum & Forster Personal Insurance Company, Marsh & McLennan, Inc. and Johnson & Higgins. He has been published several times in Best’s Review and American Agent & Broker. He holds a number of insurance designations including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).
Paul will be responsible for establishing and directing the United States captive and alternative risk management operations for Atlas Insurance Management LLC.
