Bashinelli helps people learn to step outside their comfort zone to build connections to address change
MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 18, 2017 ─ The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) will open its 2018 International Conference, Mar. 11-13, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, Scottsdale, Arizona, with inspiration and advice from engaging cross-cultural-explorer, Chris Bashinelli.
Bashinelli’s keynotes have been developed over his decade as a social entrepreneur, explorer and television host. He shares the formula he uses for everything from moderating major events for the United Nations with no formal training… to executive producing a TV Show for PBS at 23 years old… to leading a National Geographic Expedition in Mongolia- where he lived as a nomad. His unique life path has brought him to nearly 40 countries, building bridges across cultures and gaining unprecedented insight into the universal human experience.
“What struck me about Chris was his positive energy and how he connects with people through his enthusiasm. I think when people hear him they are going to lean forward in their chairs and listen. He is entertaining and he delivers a powerful message that can help to inspire all of us to look at things with a different perspective,” said CICA President Dan Towle.
Brian Johnson, CEO, Risk Risk International Actuarial Consulting,, whose company is sponsoring Bashinelli’s presentation, is also excited. “We’re proud to be sponsoring Chris Bashinelli’s keynote for the CICA Conference. His success is driven by his incredible passion for change and that’s inspiring to all of us facing the myriad of simultaneous changes affecting the captive insurance industry right now,” Johnson said.
The CICA Conference agenda offers 29 hours of education covering a broad spectrum of issues from technology, cyber risk and regulatory issues to engaging the next generation of captive professionals. The new Professional Development Track helps captive and risk management professionals learn skills to engage human resources, finance and executives in developing strategies for optimal uses of captive insurance companies.
