MINNEAPOLIS ─ Captive Review’s 2017 Power 50 list, regarded as listing the “most influential professionals in the global captive insurance industry” received more than 6,000 votes this year and placed CICA President Dan Towle 10th on the global list. Captive Review’s Editor and Chief, Richard Cutcher explained “… At CICA, Towle has an opportunity to make a much greater impact and effect change in the wider captive industry than in his previous role at the State of Vermont. Eight months into the role, he has already brought fresh energy and ideas to the Association … we expect further impact to be made in 2018.”
“It’s great to see Dan recognized by his continued rise on the Power 50,’ says CICA Board Chair, Sarah Pacini, JD, chief executive officer (CEO), Cooperative of America Physicians, Inc., Mutual Protection and Trust; and CEO, Cooperative of American Physicians Insurance Company, Inc. “Dan’s energy and ideas are helping CICA to take a leading role on many key issues across the industry,” Pacini explained.
Towle congratulated all of those recognized, noting many of the organizations and individuals on the list are also active in CICA. “CICA has one of the strongest voices in the industry. Our collaboration with the people on this list and our entire membership is a key component of CICA’s strength and our ability to educate the marketplace,” Towle said.
