Minneapolis, Dec. 2, 2013 ─ Captive Review’s 2013 Power 50 list includes five leaders of the Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA). “This is the largest presence CICA has had on the list and it reflects the influence and industry expertise our board members bring to the organization’s leadership and CICA’s increasing efforts to strengthen the collective voice of the industry on issues that affect the entire industry,” says Dennis Harwick, CICA president.

CICA Board Chair, Tomas Wittbjer; insurance executive at IKANO S.A; Board Member Robert “Skip” Myers, managing partner, Morris, Manning & Martin; and CICA President, Dennis Harwick ranked in the list’s top 10. CICA’s representation was rounded out with the inclusion of Board Members Michael Bemi, president and chief executive officer National Catholic Risk Retention Group and Scott Beckman, vice president claims at ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company.

The strength of these industry leaders is recognized in the brief descriptions used to highlight their contributions such as “leads the fight,” “vocal association leader,” “spokesman of the captive sphere,” “highly regarded” and “strong leader.”
