September Is Women in Medicine Month

Congratulations are due to CICA Board Chair Sarah E. Pacini, JD, RN. She will be honored for her Outstanding Leadership – Providing Inspiration and Support for the Women of LACMA at a luncheon hosted by the Women Physicians Action Committee (WPAC) called “Celebrating Women in Medicine” on Sept. 16.
“We hold events like this to remind our women physicians that they are seen and their work is valued,” said Stephanie Booth, MD, chair of WPAC. “We have incredible women leaders in the healthcare community who deserve our recognition. We invite everyone – men and women – to attend this special luncheon as we tell stories from the past, honor today’s leaders and begin writing the next chapter of women in medicine.”
